Mr. Sell is Vice-President of Corporate Development at United Group Services in Cincinnati.  UGS is a full service industrial mechanical firm with operations in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, and Alabama.  Kevin has nearly 20 years of experience in the construction industry and has been a member of Associated Builders and Contractor for 19 years.  Kevin has served on various committees, including the board of directors.  Kevin recently served as Trustee and Northern Kentucky PAC Coordinator for the Ohio Valley Chapter, and served for seven years as Trustee/Vice-Chairman of ABC National PAC.  Through ABC, Mr. Sell additionally served as founding member and Chairman of the Voluntary Protection Program Association for Construction.

Kevin was born at St. Luke Hospital in Fort Thomas (6/10/64) and raised in Silver Grove, Kentucky.  He served 20 years on the Silver Grove Volunteer Fire Department, and returned in 1997 to assist with the flood relief efforts.  Kevin is a 1982 graduate of Silver Grove High School (Big Trains).

His education includes technical degrees in Fire Science Technology and Business Administration from Northern Kentucky University, a Bachelor’s Degree in Fire and Safety Engineering from the University of Cincinnati (Cum Laude), and a Master’s Degree in Construction Management from Clemson University.

Mr. Sell co-authored/negotiated OSHA’s first Voluntary Protection Program in Construction (VPPC) for a mobile workforce.  Kevin has brought two construction firms through the VPPC process with a Star level recommendation.  Kevin has also assisted the Kentucky Department of Labor with their implementation of a state plan VPPC.  Mr. Sell is a duly sworn OSHA SGE (Special Government Employee).  Under Governor Ernie Fletcher, Kevin served as Chairman of the Kentucky OSHA Review Commission (2005-2009) and as a Board Member of the Kentucky Workers Compensation Funding Commission (2005-2008).

In November of 2005, Kevin ended his 20-year run of two full time jobs, and retired as a Captain/Shift Commander from the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport Fire Department.  In his “spare” time however, Kevin served as Chairman of the Fourth Congressional District of the Kentucky Republican Party for just less than four years.  Prior work experience for Mr. Sell includes three years at the Newport Kentucky Fire Department (1985-1988), Part-Time Faculty at Northern Kentucky University, Vice-President of Century Construction, and substitute teaching at Silver Grove Schools.  While in high school and college, Kevin worked as a school janitor and driver for Coca-Cola.

family 7759 aKevin resides in southern Campbell County with his wife of 12 years, Christi, and their two sons (Noah-10 and Jack-7).  The family attends Main Street Baptist Church where Christi serves on the Kids Avenue Team and Kevin serves as Vice-Chairman of the CARE Mission.
